History

Select Security & Stewarding has the experience of training, supplying and organising staff for venues and events for over 12 years.
Select has successfully provided services for a wide range of requirements during our history; from outdoor events such as "Stella Screen" (1999 - 2005), through to "Songs of Praise" (1998) and London Fashion Week (Carnaby Street/ 2006).

Since our inception, we have provided staff for events as wide ranging as: Concerts, Festivals, Sporting Events, Parades, University Balls, and Commercial Conferences.

In addition to Event Security, a large part of our operation has always been providing fully trained and qualified Door Supervisors for licensed venues in the South East of England.

Select prides itself on its relationships with its client base, and with local licensing governing bodies. We welcome any potential clients to discuss our past performance with the Events Department and Health, Safety & Licensing at Brighton and Hove City Council. Also the Events Support Unit of Brighton (East Sussex) Police.

Select are very proud to be a founder member of the Door Supervisors’ Business Forum in Brighton & Hove, and have worked extensively on Steering Committees for Door Supervisors and Events in Brighton and nationally.

Select are members of the Federation of Small Businesses, and also the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA).

Select Security represents NOEA on the General Council, and were nominated for the Security Industry Tribute Award 2006. Select also chair the NOEA Security Committee and sits on the BSI panel for current sustainability issues, which advises this 500 strong member organisation across the United Kingdom, including event organisers and local authorities.

Select Security offer a unique insight into security provision, as we are very proud to have a female Managing Director, and Senior Manager. In a fast changing industry, female security managers and business owners still seem to be an unusual thing!

All our staff our fully insured and appropriately licensed for all work that Select undertake.
